InterTest Engineering Manager

Job Summary

This role is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of mechanical engineering activities within an organization. Ensuring all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. The Engineering Manager oversees the design of products, must be knowledgeable in the use of CAE / CAD tools (SolidWorks is preferable). The position oversees fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of various RVI products.  

A qualified candidate would possess a minimum of 8-10 years experience in product design / manufacturing engineering. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work within a dynamic changing environment, rely on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and act as a mentor with in the team. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work within a team environment to analyze customer needs and requirements and propose solutions, direct internal and external personal and resources to completion
  • Research and develop new products / services related to video imaging
  • Create design specifications and document hardware and software interfaces
  • Prove-out concepts through rapid prototyping
  • Coordinate the design, assembly and testing/debug of hardware prototypes
  • Develop system architecture(s) for future growth and expandability
  • Provide cost estimates based on Customer requirements and available time / resources
  • Familiar with a variety of the modern manufacturing techniques, rapid prototyping, and follows good design practices

Qualifications

  • BSME (or related discipline) MSME preferred

Bachelor's Degree, Masters Preferred in Mechanical Engineering

Required Experience: 
Design and Manufacture of electromechanical devices: 8-10 years
