Toshiba

A variety of selectable outputs and remote head features make Toshiba’s family of HD cameras for system integrations are ideal for industrial and broadcast applications. Toshiba Imaging’s suite of five, ultra-compact, high definition cameras includes both 3CCD and the more affordable CMOS sensor models. Other applications include aviation/aerospace, machine vision, military and defense, life sciences, diagnostics and microscopy.

Toshiba IK-HR2D Offering real-time, live-image data capture up to 60 frames per second (fps), the IK-HR2D camera features both DVI-D and USB outputs, making it particularly useful for microscopy and other life sciences, industrial, and broadcast applications. The compact (1.73 in. x 1.73 in. x 3.17 in.), one-piece CMOS IK-HR2D camera allows the user to choose from selectable outputs to capture and send out video data up to 60 frames per second at 1080p/720p or 30 fps at 1080i or via the convenient DVI-D output. For still images, or for a series of images, or video at 5 frames per second at 1080 mode or 10 fps at 720 mode, the optional USB port on the IK-HR2D is ideal.

Toshiba IK-HR1H is a miniature remote CMOS camera head. It can be configured with either of two camera control units (CCUs), the IK-HR1CD (DVI) and the IK-HR1CS (HD-SDI). The ultra- small, lightweight remote camera head is approximately 1.18 in. x 1.37 in. x 1.41 in. and weighs only 1.76 oz. (without lens). Toshiba’s 1/3 inch CMOS sensor is ideal for imaging applications where space is critical and the remote head can be linked to the CCU via a standard, power over camera link (PoCL) cable.  Two output versions of the IK-HR1H are available to deliver added flexibility; the IK-HR1CD camera control unit offers a DVI-I with 720p/1080i/1080p and the IK-HR1CS CCU features an HD-SDI with 720p/1080i video signal outputs. With the optional auto and manual white balance controls plus optional auto and manual electronic shuttering, these tiny, new cameras are well-suited for scientific/life sciences, microscopy, and diagnostic imaging. Other applications that require a small, flexible, high performance HD camera include specialty broadcasting, reality TV and sports, microscopy, industrial video/inspection, and aviation.

Toshiba IK-HR1S The 1/3 inch CMOS detector with 2.1 mega pixels offers optional 720p or 1080i scanning operation, both with HD-SDI output.  Third in Toshiba Imaging’s suite of high definition cameras, the extremely small IK-HR1S unit (only 1 3⁄4 in. x 1 3⁄4 in. by 3 in.) features an RS-232 serial interface and a C-mount lens interface, offering clear, crisp HD imagery and superior color resolution.  The single-chip HD IK-HR1S camera delivers very large bandwidth, hence a better signal, over longer distances. Ideal for professional and specialty broadcasting and/or industrial imaging applications where the option to switch from progressive to interlace scanning operation is essential.

Toshiba IK-HR1D An affordable HDTV camera featuring full 1080 progressive scan resolution. The 1/3 inch, 2.1 million megapixel CMOS sensor has a frame rate of 60 frames per second (fps), delivering crisp, clear imagery with no motion artifacts. Toshiba’s progressive scan technology makes the IK-HR1D camera ideal for applications where the objects or subjects are in motion, e.g. specialty broadcast, machine vision or scientific imaging. For added flexibility, the IK-HR1D camera has an auto-electrical shutter and auto or manual white balance controls. Toshiba’s highly sensitive IK-HR1D camera is suited for the most demanding imaging tasks in the research lab, on the set or in the studio, or in the field. The IK-HR1D accepts C-mount lenses.

Toshiba IK-HD1 offers two camera control units (CCUs) to operate with the popular remote head, high definition IK- HD1. Both new CCU models have been developed in response to customer demand for video output flexibility. The first of these, the IK-HD1D, features the same output as the original IK-HD1model (1080i output via Y/Pb/Pr), but has an added DVI-I output on the rear panel. This versatility allows customers to use less costly, consumer HD control panels that accept DVI and/or HDMI signals, rather than the more costly HD-SDI panels. Toshiba’s second model, the IK-HD1E CCU complements both the original IK-HD1 and the newest CCU model, the IK-HD1D. The IK-HD1E CCU is designed to output HD-SDI and Y/Pb/Pr video signals in both 50 and 60 Hz. This is ideal for clients who may have applications where 50 Hz is standard.
